White Label Cabernet Merlot
This wine is produced from vines planted in 1970, the first vintage being 1976.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Cabernet Franc; this wine has a complex aged character, with a tight and fine palate with lots of tobacco leaf and cigar box. Aged in 25% new French oak for up to 18 months this seamless wine will cellar for up to 10 years.
It is made in a medium bodied style, to allow the finesse of the grapes to shine through.
Alcohol and oak play a supporting, but not dominating role.
Complex berry characters are prominent, with richness and great length on the palate.
Older vintages have aged well for up to twenty years.
